"Split" contains two brand new albums on a single tape from label-founders Dylan M. Howe and Matthew Pepitone, following their previous 2xCD split for the label back in 2021.

Side A takes you on an aural trip using little more than a Lenovo laptop and a Nord Micro Modular -- having had much of his gear stolen in New Mexico at a Best Western hotel, Howe used the opportunity to start over with a minimal setup, producing this powerful suite of hazy, computerized musique concrete pieces.

Side B may feel less experimental on the surface, as it finds Pepitone exploring "pop" song structures and 80s-styled synths. But after a while, a dark funhouse emerges, shaped by lost samples, cut-up drums and advanced studio trickery that rewards repeat listens.
